Over time, human evolution shows an increase in average height and brain size. For instance, Australopithecus afarensis had an average height of 1.2 m and a brain size of 400 cm³, while Homo sapiens have an average height of 1.8 m and brain size of 1350 cm³. This indicates that over evolutionary timescales, not only did body size increase, but cognitive capacities likely improved as well.
