To complete the table, calculate the value of y=x2−x for each value of x:
- For x=−2:
y=(−2)2−(−2)=4+2=6
- For x=−1:
y=(−1)2−(−1)=1+1=2
- For x=0:
y=02−0=0−0=0
- For x=1:
y=12−1=1−1=0
- For x=2:
y=22−2=4−2=2
- For x=3:
y=32−3=9−3=6
The completed table is:
On the same grid, use part (a) to draw the graph of $y = x^2 - x$ for values of $x$ from -2 to 3

To draw the graph of y=x2−x:
-
Plot each point from the completed table:
- (−2,6)
- (−1,2)
- (0,0)
- (1,0)
- (2,2)
- (3,6)
-
Connect the points smoothly, as this is a continuous quadratic function. The resulting graph should show a parabola opening upwards.
