● The work can be very repetitive
● Business often conducted at night due to the difference in time-zones between India and consumer locations
● The gap between the rich and the poor has widened
● India has more billionaires than the UK, but also has approx 90 million in extreme poverty
Benefits● The call centre workers earn good middle class wages (by Indian standards)
○ More spending in nightclubs, shopping malls etc
● Indian outsourcing companies have become v. profitable
