In Romeo and Juliet, two young lovers, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, fall deeply in love despite their families' longstanding feud. They secretly marry with the help of Friar Lawrence. However, after a fight, Romeo kills Juliet's cousin Tybalt and is banished from Verona. The couple plans to reunite, but a series of miscommunications leads to tragedy. Juliet fakes her death to be with Romeo, but Romeo, not knowing it's a ruse, believes she is truly dead. He takes his own life. When Juliet awakens and finds Romeo dead, she kills herself as well.
