The hydraulic lifting platform utilizes a hydraulic ram that connects to one side of a scissor or parallel linkage mechanism. On the opposite side, the linkage mechanism is fixed in place. When hydraulic oil is introduced into the hydraulic ram, it causes the scissor arms to move either closer together or further apart.
