Making a Complaint

If you are unhappy with goods or services, follow these steps:

1. Return with a receipt:

• Go back to the shop/service and bring your receipt.

2. Speak to a manager:

• Politely explain the problem and what you expect (e.g. refund or repair).

3. Put the complaint in writing:

• If unresolved, write a letter or email of complaint. Include:
• Your name, address, and date.
• Details of the product or service (brand, model, price).
• Clear explanation of the issue and steps already taken.
• Copies of the receipt/guarantee (keep originals safe).

1. Seek further advice:

• Contact consumer protection organisations if needed.

2. Small claims procedure:

• For disputes involving less than €2,000, use the small claims court for quick, low-cost resolution.
