The function of B (horizontal rough ground) is to provide a stable and level base for the wall panelling and also acts as a moisture barrier.

The material used for C (skirting) is typically wood or timber.

To calculate the area of roof tiles needed, we compute:

• Length = 8,740 mm
• Width = 3,600 mm (length of rafter) + 50 mm (overhang) = 3,650 mm.

Hence, area = length x width = 8.740 m x 3.650 m = 31.96 m², rounded off to 32.0 m².

Using the internal dimension of the store room:

• Length = 8,000 mm
• Centre-to-centre spacing = 500 mm
• Thus, number of trusses = (8000 / 500) + 1 = 17 trusses.

The cupboard should feature the following:

• ONE bottom drawer with a handle.
• FOUR shelf spaces.
• A total of 16 mm melamine board used for the cupboard construction.
